This true story told by Barbara Glanz of Glanz Communications is not only very uplifting and motivating but has a great business lesson to be learned as well.

After listening to Barbara speak to a group of grocery store employees on the topic “The Simple Truth of Service”, Johnny, a nineteen-year-old grocery bagger with Down Syndrome, developed his own unique way to keep customers coming back to the supermarket where he worked.

While every business may not have a “Johnny”, nearly every business can and should do something to WOW their customers, like Johnny! Does your business?

After viewing the video (click here to view), I would encourage you to play it for your employees, but have a box of tissues close by. Then, individually or as a team, encourage your employees to come up with an idea(s) to WOW your customers and clients.

It doesn’t matter if your business is a sanitation/garbage service provider or a dental office, every business can and should find a way(s) to WOW their customers.
