Your customers have gone mobile. Just take note the next time you’re in a restaurant or using public transit at the number of people listening to their smartphones. You might draw the conclusion that no one listens to ‘traditional’ radio anymore.
But according to Nielsen, the independent research firm that measures what people watch, listen to and buy, the amount of time adults spend listening to broadcast radio is actually enhanced by these new mobile devices.
According to a recent Nielsen Comparable Metrics Report, the amount of time spent listening to broadcast radio on smartphones and tablets dominates streaming other audio on these mobile devices.
In fact, those nine out of every ten minutes spent listening to audio on mobile devices is spent with over-the-air radio.
Then, of course, there is the ‘other’ mobile media…your car. Between listening on smartphones, tablets, and AM/FM car radios, broadcast radio reaches 93% of your prospects and customers every week.
